Join the Florida Council for the Social Studies!
In support of professional development, Florida Council for the Social Studies offers a year's membership FREE when you join the National Council for the Social Studies.
- Offer good for persons who are NOT current NCSS members and have not been members in the past six months.
- Student memberships and NCSS renewals do not qualify for this offer.
- Join through your state council and they will receive 50% of your NCSS dues.
The Florida Council for the Social Studies is:
- A professional organization since the 1950’s
- Affiliated with the National Council for the Social Studies
- FCSS is governed by the Board of Directors. The Board meets four times a year: January, May, September, and October.
To ensure appropriate representation, the state is divided into 18 districts of equivalent population with one director elected from each district. An At-Large, Elementary At-Large, Secondary At-Large, University At-Large, and Supervisor At-Large provide additional representation
